Fás Safe Pass

• Aims/ Objectives

• The aims and objectives of the Safe Pass course are to licence staff to work safely in Ireland on construction sites, to raise industry status of safety awareness, to ensure all site personnel undergo training, to maintain a register of trained personnel and to provide all participants with a Safe Pass Card.

• A basic knowledge of Health and Safety.

   

  Important

   

  1. All participants must arrive at 08:30am sharp for course registration

  2. Delegates who arrive late will unfortunately not be permitted to complete the programme.

  3. All participants must bring a passport photo of themselves for their Safe Pass Registration card.

  4. Additional information neede from the participant include: participants name, company name, company address, contact phone number.

  5. Note: Participant must be over 16

  6. A good level of English is required. For non-English speaking participants, interpreters must be used (one language per course).

   

• Course Content

• Some of the issues which will be discussed are the reasons for promoting safety, accident reporting and emergency procedure, health and hygiene, manual handling, working at heights, the safe use of vehicles and personal protective equipment to name but a few.

   

  Delegates will not need to prepare in advance or complete a body of work after the course.  Instead, each delegate will be expected to complete all assessment activities withing the course delivery time of 1 day.
