Telecoms Training Overview

PQMS is licenced by both BT and Eircom to train and accredit staff to work on their networks. From our centrally located training centres we meet the demands of customers from Multi-nationals to singleton (1 man) engineers.

 

All our trainers are industry licenced and approved and a key part of their selection is their ability to work within a team of hands on practical professionals who deliver to our clients needs.

 

There are a variety of methods which can be used to provide fixed telephony, a selection of the methods commonly used are :

 

  1. Copper from Exchange to end user
  2. Copper loops with pair gain
  3. Fibre to the cabinet and copper elsewhere
  4. Fibre to the DP and copper elsewhere
  5. Fibre to the Premises (inc. TPON)
  6. Hybrid fibre coax - HFC
  7. Radio based systems

 

Copper from Exchange to the end user This is the current architecture used by the larger operators

8. O/H Cabling

11. LLU (Local Loop Unbundling)

13. Fibre (Splicing and Testing)

 

PQMS are available to deliver training 7 days a week to facilitate our clients contractural requirements.
