PQMS are fully licenced to deliver this course when you require it - we deliver training 7 days a week.

As a streetworks contractor, it is now your responsibility to ensure that your employees are competent in their job. Current legislation requires that at least one operative in each gang is qualified, and that each site is managed by a qualified supervisor. Without these requirements being fulfilled, you risk your sites being shut down, with all complications and loss of money that entails.
 

The regulations cover all branches and sectors of the streetworks industry. This includes contractors working on road improvements, utilities companies, and smaller operators who carry out minor kerb works:

Operative Units - Units 1 to 9

Supervisors Units - Units 10 to 16 

The following are the Streetworks units :

1. Location and avoidance of underground apparatus
2. Signing lighting and guarding
3. Excavation in the highway
4. Reinstatement and compaction of backfill material
5. Reinstatement of sub-base and base (roadbase) in nonbituminous materials
6. Reinstatement of cold-lay bituminous materials
7. Reinstatement of hot-lay bituminous materials
8. Reinstatement of concrete slabs
9. Reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footways
10. Monitoring signing, lighting and guarding
11. Monitoring excavation in the highway
12. Monitoring reinstatement and compaction of backfill materials
13. Monitoring reinstatement of sub-base and base (roadbase) in non-bituminous materials
14. Monitoring reinstatement of bituminous materials
15. Monitoring reinstatement of concrete slabs
16. Monitoring reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footways
